Understanding Repentance

Jan 21, 2023
1 min read

To repent, is not just saying “I’m Sorry.” It is not the act of being remorseful. It doesn’t end with a feeling of guilt for something you believe in your heart you should not have done.

To repent, one asks the Father for forgiveness in prayer, claiming the grace that has been extended to each of us through the shedding of Christs blood, and then simply not repeating the same sins. For to have learned this lesson of salvation through Christ Jesus, is to have a truly converted heart.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
